Hospitality has a long tradition at Schloss zu Hopferau, believed to be the oldest castle in Germany.
We offer 17 high-quality guest rooms in four different categories. All rooms are quietly located and allow you to choose between a firm or soft mattress. They are equipped with an LED TV, Omniport, and telephone, and offer beautiful views of Hopferau or the castle park. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire building.
Comfort Junior Room
Our Comfort Junior Rooms range from 16–18 sqm and feature either 160 × 200 cm double beds or twin beds (90 × 200 cm), as well as a bathroom with WC and shower.
Comfort Senior Room
Our spacious Comfort Senior Rooms range from 18–22 sqm and feature 160 × 200 cm or 180 × 200 cm beds with separate mattresses, as well as a bathroom with WC and shower.
Superior Junior and Superior Senior Rooms
Our exclusive Superior Junior Rooms (28 sqm) and Superior Senior Rooms (38 sqm) feature 180 × 200 cm beds with separate mattresses, as well as bathrooms with both a bathtub and a shower.
Schlossherren Suite
Located on the top floor of the historic building, the tastefully furnished Beletage offers magnificent views of the castle park and the Alpine panorama. It impresses with its spaciousness, comfort, understated elegance, and distinctive details.
The suite comprises a generous living and dining area (approx. 62 sqm) with numerous modern amenities, an open-plan kitchen (16 sqm), and an elegant bedroom (approx. 22 sqm).
The bedroom of the exclusive Schlossherren Suite features a 180 × 200 cm bed with separate mattresses, as well as an approximately 5 sqm bathroom with a shower.
Upon request, two additional bedrooms on the 140 sqm floor can be booked in addition to the Schlossherren Suite.
The second bedroom is approximately 15 sqm in size and features a 160 × 200 cm queen-size bed.
Red Salon
The approximately 22 sqm bedroom features a 180 × 220 cm bed with separate mattresses and is ideal as an additional booking to the Schlossherren Suite.
Single Rooms
The single rooms, located in both the annex and the historic part of the castle, range from 16 to 21 sqm and feature a bathroom with a shower.
When staying overnight at the castle, you can enjoy a wide selection of regional products at our breakfast buffet. From stays of two nights or more, you will also receive a KönigsCard.
Half Board
Our half-board option includes a multi-course dinner menu (starter, choice of main courses, dessert) from €45 per person.
Baby Cot
€10 per day, available on request.
Extra Beds
€30 per day, available on request (not possible in all rooms).
Pets Welcome
Pets are allowed. We charge €15 per pet per night (food not included).
Business Travelers
We offer special rates for business guests. Single rooms are available from €80 per night.
Further Information
All rooms are equipped with a Loewe LED TV, direct-dial telephone, and free Wi-Fi. Each room also features a private bathroom with shower and/or bathtub and a hairdryer.
Check-in is available from 3:00 pm. Please call us if you wish to arrive earlier or if you will arrive in Hopferau after 6:00 pm.
The local visitor’s tax (Kurtaxe) in Hopferau is €1.30 per person per night, and €0.70 for children aged 7 to 17.
A rich breakfast is served daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
If you would like breakfast at a different time, please inform us the day before. For an additional charge, breakfast can also be served in your room.
On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the room by 11:00 am. Hotel bills can be settled in cash, by EC/Giro card, or with major credit cards.
Free parking spaces are available directly at the property.
Cancellations of standard rates are free of charge up to 72 hours (3 days) before arrival.
