Arrival / Departure:

On the day of arrival, your hotel room will be ready from 3:00 pm. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to vacate the room by 11:00 am.
If you wish to depart later, we are happy to store your luggage at our reception.
Hotel bills can be settled in cash, by EC card, or with all major credit cards.

Car / Parking:

For loading and unloading, you may use our driveway at the rear entrance of the castle.
Parking spaces there are reserved exclusively for guests with disabilities.
For regular parking, please use our main parking lot in front of the castle.
All parking spaces are free of charge.

Bathrobes:

Available on request at the reception.
In case of loss, a fee of €40.00 will be charged.

Train:

If you arrive or depart by train, we can arrange a free transfer to/from the “Weizern-Hopferau” train station upon request. Please contact reception in advance if you wish to use this service.
With the Hopferau guest card, all journeys on public transport within the greater Ostallgäu region are free of charge.
Please ask at reception for details if you would like to use this service.

Complaints:

If anything does not meet your expectations, please contact us. We will, of course, do our best to accommodate your wishes.

Library:

A small selection of books is available in our library in the Knights’ Hall on the second floor.
Please note that this room may not be accessible during events.

Blankets:

Additional wool or feather blankets are available free of charge from our housekeeping team or at reception.

Toiletries:

Complimentary toiletries for daily use are provided in the bathroom, such as soap, shower gel, body lotion, and cotton pads. Toothbrushes are available on request at reception.

Entrance Door:

In the evening, the main entrance door is locked.
With your room key, you can access the castle at any time via the rear entrance near the staircase.

Electric Vehicles:

As a guest of Schloss zu Hopferau, you may charge your electric vehicle for a flat fee of €15 per charging session.
There are two Tesla Destination Chargers and one universal charging station located behind the castle.

Bicycles:

You may store your bicycles free of charge and safely in our lockable bicycle and motorcycle garage during your stay.

A rich breakfast is served daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 am in our castle restaurant.

Towels:

To help protect the environment, housekeeping replaces only towels left on the floor.
Additional towels can be requested directly from our housekeeping team.

Slippers:

Slippers are provided free of charge and may also be taken with you.

Pets:

Dogs are very welcome in our hotel. Please be considerate of other guests.
Dogs must be kept on a leash in the hotel and restaurant areas and must not be left unattended in the room.
A fee of €15.00 per day is charged for dogs.

Internet:

Free Wi-Fi is available for our guests via the “Schloss Hotspot.”
A password is required and can be obtained at the reception.

Children’s Playground:

A children’s playground is located in front of the castle. Please ensure appropriate supervision.

Pillows:

Additional pillows are available on request from housekeeping or at reception.

Visitor’s Tax (Kurtaxe):

The municipality of Hopferau charges a visitor’s tax of €1.90 per person per night.
Children aged 7–17 pay €1.00 per night.

Light Switches:

The corridors of the hotel wing and the bathrooms are equipped with motion sensors.
Lights switch off automatically after approximately 5 minutes.

Sewing Kit / Sewing Service:

A small sewing kit can be found in the wardrobe in your room.

Emergency Call:

Dial (0)112 to be connected directly to the emergency services.

Radio:

Radio programs can be accessed via the TV. Press the “Audio” button.

Smoking:

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building.
Covered smoking areas are available at the main and hotel entrances.
Open flames and smoking in the rooms are strictly prohibited.
Failure to comply resulting in a fire brigade deployment will lead to the costs of the operation and cleaning being charged to the guest.

Umbrellas:

Umbrellas can be borrowed free of charge from reception.

Reception:

Our reception is staffed daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
From your room, you can reach us by dialing “20.”

Safe:

You are welcome to deposit valuables at our reception for safekeeping.

Shoe Polishing Machine:

A shoe polishing machine is available free of charge in the staircase at the rear entrance.
Shoe care supplies are also provided in your bathroom.

Laundry handed in by 9:00 am is usually returned the same evening.

You can also use the TV as an alarm clock by pressing “Media” and accessing the alarm menu.

Payment:

You may conveniently settle your bill on the day of departure in cash, by EC card, Mastercard, Visa, or American Express.

Newspapers:

The Allgäuer Zeitung is available daily in our castle restaurant.
Various magazines are also available in the entrance area for borrowing.

Room Cleaning:

If you would like your room to be cleaned, please hang the “Please Clean” sign on the outside of your door.
Our staff will then clean the room, replace towels left on the floor, change bed linen, and empty waste bins.

Room Key:

Your room key provides access to the hotel wing at all times.
You may leave your key at reception during the day.
If you return after 9:00 pm, please keep the key with you.
On the day of departure, please return the room key directly to reception and do not leave it in the door.

Room Service:

From 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, you may order drinks, and from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, meals to your room.
From 8:00 am to 10:00 am, only breakfast is served in the room.

A service charge of €3.50 per order applies.
